The Benefits Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration
of the University Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Plans.
Benefit programs are offered to active faculty and staff, union
employees, retirees, and students. The Analyst is responsible for the
ongoing relationships with vendors such as TIAA
and Buck Consultants. The Analyst is responsible for ensuring the
stated benefits within the plan are fulfilled, maintaining and
reconciling eligibility and enrollment, monthly premiums/administrative
fees, deposits, and any refunds.
The Benefits Analyst acts as the subject matter expert for the
benefits for which they are responsible. The Benefits Analyst must be
familiar and maintain compliance with current IRS
regulations and retirement laws as they apply to the University’s
plans. Questions or issues that cannot be answered by a Benefits
Representative would be referred to the Benefits Analyst for review and
resolution.
